The "Nest" villa, part of Holiday House condos & marina is ideally and centrally located in the heart of Islamorada within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars and shops. We are located on the "Bayside" next-door to the La Jolla Resort & Marina. Our driveway is adjacent to the Backcountry Cowboy Outfitters store at approximately mile marker 82.3 (light pole 652-B)

The "Nest" is one of seven residences on a one acre tree lined tropical "hammock" which runs from the highway down a gravel driveway to the beautiful Florida Bay. The "Nest" is in the bay-front building and one of three residences in that building nearest the bay, and the only one on the upper level which ensures your privacy and spectacular views!
The villa is a very secluded with its own exclusive private roof-top sun terrace. Most rooms have incredible water views from the picture windows. Wood plantation shutters ensure shade and privacy while still allowing you to enjoy the views through-out the day. Please see adjoining plan for villa layout.
Living Room - a light, bright and spacious area with a comfortable leather sofa, coffee table, extra seating and an expandable dinning table with seating for four. Sliding patio doors open to a balcony rail and marina views.
Kitchen - a well equipped open plan kitchen with breakfast bar adjoins the living area. The kitchen is fully set up for six guests and includes a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer (with ice maker), 2 coffee makers (Mr. Coffee and Keurig K-cup) and other small appliances and utensils including a blender and toaster oven. A selection of spices and seasonings are always available.
Master Bedroom - there is a very private air conditioned Master bedroom with queen bed, closet and lots of dresser / drawer storage. This bedroom also has its own entry door leading directly to the sun terrace. There is an adjoining light and bright bathroom containing a large vanity, glass brick walk in shower and toilet. Bath robes, a blow drier and soaps & lotions are provided for your convenience.
Second Bed - a second spacious guest sleeping area equipped with a queen size "Murphy" bed is annexed to the air conditioned living room with an adjoining guest bathroom with walk in shower, vanity and toilet. A portable privacy screen is provided to add extra seclusion to the sleeping area.
Laundry - A full size washer an dryer is located in the second bathroom. Laundry soap pods are provided for your convenience. An iron & small ironing board are available for your stay.
TV / Entertainment: a flat screen TV (Xfinity cable) is provided in the living room with entertainment center (CD / DVD player) and a second "smart" flat screen TV in the master bedroom.
Free high speed Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the villa.
Roof-Top Terrace - the private and relaxing sun terrace exclusive to "nest" guests is furnished with an outdoor dinning table and chairs, two sun loungers with cushions and two relaxing Adirondack chairs with foot rests. Stunning views and sunsets are guaranteed. You will love the easy access to the waterfront and boat dock via the spiral staircase from the terrace. A shade sail and patio umbrella provide adequate shade when needed.
BBQ - A gas (propane) barbecue is provided on the terrace for convenient outdoor grilling.
Boat Dock & Launching Ramp - There is a launching ramp for boats up to 18 feet on the property (boats larger than 18 feet can be launched at several nearby boat ramps). We have a beautiful and protected boat dock / marina for boats of up to 26 feet. The boat basin is deep and has both water and electricity. It is well lit for nighttime boating activity. A fish cleaning table is available for cleaning your daily catch. There is a dedicated boat trailer storage area close to the main entrance to the property.
You are free to swim, snorkel or fish from the jetty but no swimming in the marina please!
The "Table of Knowledge" - you will find a rustic table and chairs near the boat basin, nestled under a shady Buttonwood tree where many tall fishing stories are shared and enjoyed by our guests! There is also plentiful seating on the jetty for your use and relaxation.

"Freebee" - an eco friendly free shuttle service will pick you up at the "nest" and drop you off anywhere within the main island of Islamorada. Download the Freebee app. and give it a try (highly recommended).
Founders Park - as a "temporary resident" you have access to this beautiful park and marina facility behind the Visitor Center (mile marker 87 on the bayside). There is an Olympic size swimming pool with high diving boards, water aerobics, sunning areas, a sandy beach, dog park, fitness center and sports fields. You will need to take your "nest" booking form as proof of residence.

Publix: supermarket approximately one mile away recently opened and great!
The Trading Post is 3/4 mile south @ MM 81.5, bayside. Old-time grocery store.
CVS Drugstore is 1/2 mile north @ MM 81.5, US 1, bayside.
Car rental: the nearest is "Thrifty" on Tavernier 305-852-6088
